American Pickers!

After work today, my co-worker Tom, and his wife Laura set out to LeClaire to try to meet the American Pickers - Mike and Frank. In case you haven't seen it, American Pickers is a show on the History Channel about these two guys who go around the country buying and selling collectibles. They have run their business out of LeClaire, Iowa for the last 10 years and Mike said they began pitching the idea for a show 4 years ago. We had such a good time! Their warehouse is full of neat collectibles and the people from the show were so nice. When we got there, only Danielle was there, but she called up Mike and told him there were some people there who wanted to meet him. It's a neat show, so if you haven't seen it, check it out! Even if you aren't interested in collectibles/antiques (which I'm not), the guys make it interesting by telling the history of the stuff they find and their fun personalities make the show what it is.

I Love Redbox!

Redbox is a great business model and I use it all the time. On this night I got "Did You Hear About the Morgans?" which I wouldn't recommend, but for $1, who cares?!

Getting Closer...

All that is left of the bathroom project is painting! Troy is putting the finishing touches on the second coat here. It's hard to tell in the picture, but it's kind of a leafy green color.

Visitors

I'll just say it - I'm not a fan of birds. In fact, they kind of freak me out. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that one pooped on my head when I was a kid. Not a pleasant memory!

These birds (I'm not sure what they are - Morning Doves, maybe?) are always hanging around my deck. They aren't injured, or nesting, or anything, they just hang out and won't fly away even if you get up close to them. It's the strangest thing. I wish they would find a different spot to hang out!

No Picture!

Well it took me until April 2, but I finally had a day where I forgot to take a photo. I was disappointed but I realized it, but still kind of impressed with myself that I made it this far. I know what I should have taken a photo of too - the awesome deep dish pizza we had for dinner!

One of the first nice days of spring called for wine on the front porch with the girls! I can definitely remember years with snow in the beginning of April so this mild weather is a treat.
