Another update...

Here's the vanity we ended up with - not our first choice, but I still think it looks nice. Tight quarters in this bathroom didn't leave a lot of room for the larger vanity we had picked out.

Sprained ankle

My friend Corey sprained his ankle in Florida last week while he was playing pickle ball. What is pickle ball, you ask? I have no idea, but he claims it was fun right up until he sprained his ankle.

And, because this was such a fun/busy day, I couldn't resist posting two pictures. After the baby shower, I jumped in the car and drove to Chicago to see Taryn, in town from LA for her cousin Mallorie's wedding.

Baby Shower Game Supplies

Today I went out and bought a bunch of baby necessities to be used for a game at next weekend's baby shower. I especially like the lion booties and the rubber ducky!

Talking Wine

We took a trip down to Burlington, Iowa to visit Troy's friends in the wine business. Burlington was his biggest account until his territory changed last fall, so here he is catching up with his Burlington buddies and talking about his favorite subject - selling wine!

Hello Ford Edge!

And here's my new car - a 2007 Ford Edge with 19,000 miles on it. I love, love, love driving it! It has every feature under the sun, which is quite a change from my little Sunfire that didn't even have power windows or locks.

Goodbye Sunfire!

This was taken right before I traded in my 2002 Pontiac Sunfire. It was my first car and I was so excited when I bought it brand new in July 2001. Now, nine years and 127,000 miles later, I was slightly less excited about it, but it was still a good car for me with lots of memories!

Bathroom remodel - Before

I don't even really know what to say about this except it made me laugh when I saw it at the gas station. It's some sort of truck that's been converted into a cage? Very odd.

Renovation Project

Troy is re-doing his bathroom and I get to help pick out the stuff. Fun! I will keep you updated with photos of the progress. I think this is the sink and cabinet he decided on.

First Sign of Spring?

When I got home from Florida, I could see my daffodils starting to poke up out of the ground! You have to really look, but I promise they are there!

Driving Miss Daisy

When I go out of town, my parents are kind enough to let Daisy stay with them. The only problem is that she HATES the car, and especially this carrier. This makes for an interesting ride considering my parents live about 30 minutes away. She spends the entire trip crying to the point where she has to stop and catch her breath, and she ends up panting like a dog. Look at those sad eyes peering out from her "cell!"

Last Night in Destin

On our last night in Destin, some friends of Matt and Lecia's invited us all over for dinner at their condo, which was on the 15th floor, over looking the harbor. It was beautiful!
